Subject: Addyson (Generation 8 / Alicia’s Younger Sister)
Lyn: I’m back at the Capp Manor, and the air is thick with the scent of expensive nursery furniture and ancient law books. I’m sitting with Addyson, Alicia’s younger sister. Addy, you recently married Tybalt Capp and brought Leslie into the world. You’re basically the 'Success Story' of the McLean-Capp alliance. How does it feel to be the one who actually delivered the heir Alicia wanted?
Addyson: (Cradling baby Leslie, her gaze flickering toward the door as if expecting Alicia to walk in) It feels... complicated, Lyn. Alicia treats Leslie like a political victory rather than a nephew. Every time he hits a milestone, she’s there with a ledger, checking off which part of the Imperial Charter he’s fulfilling. I love Tybalt, and I love our son, but living under the same roof as my sister's 'Decrees' is a lot.
Lyn: Beckett let the cat out of the bag that Alicia absolutely hates children. How does that work in a house with a newborn?
Addyson: (A weary laugh) She visits him for exactly five minutes a day. She stands by the crib, looks at him like he’s a particularly interesting piece of architecture, and then leaves before he can spit up on her silk robes. She wants the legacy of Leslie, Lyn. She doesn't want the noise. She expects me to raise a perfect 'Imperial' leader while she handles the 'Big Picture' marketing of our family name.
Lyn: So, while she’s trying to 'tutoring' my baby sister Nadine, is she doing the same to your son?
Addyson: She’s already drafted a twenty-year education plan for him. She’s terrified of the Greyson Branch getting ahead of us with Theodore Vance. In her head, Leslie is the only one who can 'save' the 12th generation from being too ordinary. I just want him to be a boy who can play in the dirt without it being a 'constitutional crisis'.
